My Ambition:
To always trust myself and be bold in all aspects of my life.

My parents instilled in me the value of knowledge from a very young age, affirming that it is something that no one can ever take from me.  Whether in the classroom or through life experiences, absorbing all things around me has played an integral role in my journey. My passion for learning has been a constant throughout my life. From being a sponge in my Kindergarten classroom to becoming a first-generation college graduate, and now pursuing my Masters degree, my commitment to expanding my mind has been unwavering.

Honestly, learning fuels my inquisitive nature, ultimately making life just a little bit more interesting. From reading about different cultures, staying up to date with the latest news, to even trying new recipes, I see learning as an empowering act of pushing past my limits and truly challenging myself. My journey thus far has been my greatest lesson of all. My successes and challenges have helped me to accept that life is not linear and to see the world through a wide lens. My lived experiences have shaped what I see as my life’s purpose: a chance to reach beyond myself to connect with others and embrace all that life has to offer.

I embody these values by creating safe spaces, gaining strength from challenges, enacting kindness, and continuously reflecting and seeking guidance from community. Ultimately, my wisdom, guiding principles, and dedication to expanding my mind allow me to be a well-rounded advocate for myself and others.
