My 2021 AmeriCorps VISTA service term required me to write an article that highlights the challenges of housing insecurity faced by youth, promotes awareness of systemic barriers, and inspires community support and action. My article explores the challenges of homelessness for families with young children and calls for better support services to address their housing insecurity.

Chicago HOPES for Kids provides a comprehensive report of our activities and performance each year. I was tasked with reporting the volunteer department’s achievements. For 2023, I was tasked with reporting the volunteer department’s achievements with a focus on the experiences of two of our community volunteers, located on page six below.

In my Business Strategies for Strategic Communicators course, we were tasked with identifying a top trend in society that is impacting businesses and their corporate communications team along with C-suite. In my research, I focused on why the employee experience is pivotal in a business’s operation and reputation citing case studies in my findings.
